An Ounce Of Prevention..........

Before your film your next adventure take a moment and secure your ATC Action Cam with a back up "safety leash". If the camera ever comes loose during extreme conditions this will ensure your Oregon Scientific Cam is there to shoot another journey. I fashioned a simple "Leash" by looping some high test line around the yellow "Camera Grip" which is clasped to the barrel of the ATC9K. There is adequate clearance behind the hinge mechanism allowing it to lock securely in place. While we are on the subject of tying things down the remote control also has a secure lanyard attachment next to the battery compartment!

Taking Your ATC Action Cam Into The Water?

If you are planning on dunking your Oregon Scientific action camera in the water here is a helpful tip. Apply some "Rain-X" to the lens. The Hydrophobic coating will cause the water to roll right off assuring a crisp clean image every time!

I've tested this on my own ATC9K and 5K while shooting in the constant rain of the Pacific NW and the difference is remarkable

Directions:
*Apply a few drops to one end of a fresh Q-Tip and lightly rub the lens.
*Buff gently with the dry end of the Q-Tip.
*Repeat 2 Times.
*Now clean the lens and any residual smudges as you would normally.
